Bridestowe, at Nabowla in Tasmania's north east, is Australia's largest lavender farm, and this shuttle gets you there from Launceston without hiring a car. The drive takes under an hour through farmland and gentle hills, and once you arrive you have around two and a half hours to explore at your own pace. Wander the lavender rows and gardens, browse the gift shop for lavender goods and essential oils, and stop for lunch or morning tea at the Woodcroft Café, which looks out over the fields. The famous purple carpet blooms in December and January, when the estate hosts its Bridestowe in Bloom festival. Outside those months the fields are greener, but the farm, café and shop are open year round. Pick up and drop off is included from central Launceston hotels or the Launceston Transit Centre on Cimitiere Street. Staying in town for the evening?
