This isn't a look from the lookout kind of day. It's built around getting in the water, with four swim stops across the Wet Tropics rainforest and time on country with Traditional Owners, all rolled into one big road trip over the Atherton Tablelands.Your day includes a 45 minute visit to the Cathedral Fig Tree, where Traditional Owners, proud descendants of the Yidinji and Mbabaram peoples, share stories of their rainforest culture and unbroken connection to country beneath a 500 year old giant. Then it's all about the water. You'll swim at Babinda Boulders, a local favourite at the foot of Queensland's highest mountain, and ride the natural rock slide at Josephine Falls into a cool rainforest pool. After a buffet lunch with rainforest views, you'll stand beneath the 18 m drop of Millaa Millaa Falls before a final dip from the pontoon at Lake Eacham, a volcanic crater lake that sits at around 23 degrees.Your guides fill the drive with local legends, botany and history, and the air conditioned coach has panoramic windows for the rolling farmland in between.
