Tours start from The Docks Townsville, 108 Flinders Street, Townsville City. Arrive 30 minutes before your start time for check in and the safety briefing, and complete the online waiver from your confirmation email beforehand.

Tours run daily from 8am, 9:30am, 11am, 12:30pm and 2pm, subject to availability and conditions. The tour runs for about two hours plus the briefing.

Drivers must be 16 or over, and under 18s need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver and cannot carry another under 18 passenger. Passengers must be at least 7, with a maximum of 130kg per rider and 200kg per jet ski.

No snorkelling experience is needed, but you should have an average level of fitness, be comfortable in open water and be able to tread water in a life jacket. Let the team know about any medical conditions before your tour.

No. This is a guided tour, so no licence or experience is needed, and every rider gets a safety briefing, demonstration and practical skills check before heading out. Drivers need to bring photo ID.

Cancel more than 48 hours before your start time for a refund, less a 1.9 percent processing fee. Between 24 and 48 hours out you can reschedule or take a gift voucher valid for 12 months, and within 24 hours bookings are non refundable.

Tours do not run in unsafe conditions, and the route or times can change with wind and sea state. If Poseidon cancels, you are offered a new time or a voucher first, and a full refund if neither works.

On this tour you ride there yourself, crossing Cleveland Bay from Townsville on a jet ski behind a local guide, then trading the throttle for a mask and fins at one of the island's fringing reefs.Your guide picks the snorkel spot on the day, Florence Bay, Arthur Bay or Nelly Bay, depending on which is most sheltered.
