More about this tour.

Most Blue Mountains day trips give you a lookout or two and a long drive home. This one packs the mountains, Australian wildlife and a ferry ride back into the city into a single loop, with no more than 20 guests and a family owned crew running the day.Your day starts early, with pickup from 6.40am at one of three central Sydney points and a run west over the ANZAC Bridge. The first stop is a lookout over the Megalong Valley, a good moment for a coffee before the day really gets going. Then it is on to Scenic World, where you ride all three: the Skyway gliding across the gorge, the steep Scenic Railway down into the Jamison Valley and the Cableway back up, with a rainforest walk on the valley floor in between. You will stand face to face with the Three Sisters at Katoomba and stop at quieter lookouts over the Jamison Valley, away from the busiest platforms, then get free time in a mountain village to choose your own lunch and browse the shops. In the afternoon you swap gum trees for koalas, kangaroos, wombats and Tasmanian devils at Sydney Zoo, before a ferry carries you back to Circular Quay around 5pm.Still got energy once you dock at the Quay?
