Barron Gorge & Falls Scenic Flight

It's a 20-minute scenic helicopter flight. You'll track up the Barron Gorge to the 850-foot Barron Falls, fly over the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Kuranda village, then return over the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range with panoramic views of Cairns city and out to the Coral Sea.

The flight is A$344 per person, with a fuel surcharge already included in the price. A minimum of 2 passengers per booking applies.

Flights depart from the General Aviation area at Cairns Airport, 21 Bush Pilots Avenue, Aeroglen. There are no hotel pickups, so you'll make your own way to the departure base.

Yes. The maximum single-seat weight limit is 130kg. Weight variances greater than 10% of what you declared at booking may incur additional charges or reduced luggage allowance. Only small soft bags can be carried on board.

You'll receive a 100% refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure. Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours before departure qualify for a 50% refund, and cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. If Zoom Helicopters needs to cancel your flight due to weather, you'll be offered an alternative date or time, and a full refund if that doesn't suit you.

Bring sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera to capture the views. Pack light, as only small soft bags are allowed on board.

Yes. Children under 2 fly free on a parent's lap using a company provided infant seatbelt, and children aged 2 to 13 need their own seat at full fare and must be accompanied by an adult. Pregnant passengers are welcome to fly at their own discretion, though Zoom Helicopters recommends checking with your doctor first, since seatbelts must be worn for the whole flight.

Arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure at the Cairns Airport General Aviation base. You'll be given a mandatory safety briefing at check in before boarding.
