More about this tour.

Brett's Outback Tasting Adventure from Cairns starts the way a Tablelands local would, with breakfast overlooking Lake Barrine, a crater lake formed more than 10,000 years ago, and locally sourced tea or coffee in hand. From there it is about nine hours of small producers, volcanic farmland and plenty of tasting, departing from Cairns and the Northern Beaches with a group of adults. In Yungaburra, Anna and Stu of Winter and Mann welcome you into their home for an intimate tasting of locally sourced produce. After a quick stop at the Curtain Fig Tree, where a platypus sometimes surfaces, lunch is a relaxed affair at Shaylee Strawberry Farm, with house made strawberry jam, gelato and strawberry wines on the table. Between June and October you can pick your own strawberries too.The afternoon brings handcrafted cheese and homemade chocolate at Gallo Dairyland's 1,000 acre dairy farm, then whisky, gin and rum at Mt Uncle Distillery, North Queensland's first. The Humpy lays out seasonal tropical fruit, roasted macadamias and local peanuts, and a bowl of ice cream and sorbet at Emerald Creek Ice Creamery rounds out the day before the drive back to Cairns. Staying further north? The Port Douglas edition of this tasting tour takes a different route and finishes with tropical wines at The Platypus Hut.Explore the itinerary, check availability for your date, then book your seat.
